This is ANOTHER SCAM!
Received ANOTHER call from this number claiming to be the police and that I can expect to be arrested if I do not call the number back. This call came in shortly after receiving another scam call from (778) 734-2882 claiming to be CRA Criminial Investigations Unit.
Being in this profession for the past 2 decades, I have never heard of CRA accuse an individual/business with a phone call. As a tax professional, I strongly advise the public to contact Canada Revenue Agency at 1-800-959-8281 if you receive any type of communication from CRA. Speak to a legitimate CRA agent and confirm if there are any issues with your files. And it goes without saying....NEVER GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION to anyone unless you are 100% certain you are speaking to a legitimate CRA agent. The fraud industry is vast and wide. With today"s technology and digital world, con artists find innovative ways to extort money from unsuspecting individuals and families.
