Same as others - I was informed that the CRA was going to file a lawsuit against me if I didn"t return the call. I"m sure if I did, they would want banking passwords or cash or something like that. I reported a call like this one once to the CRA but nothing happened that I know of.

I work for the federal government and received a call from this number. I didn"t answer because I don"t answer calls from outside Ottawa, unless it"s another government department. Caller ID said V52413450900180. It"s sad that people are consistently trying to s***w others out of their hard-earned money. CRA does NOT call you, like EVER.

I received a call like this threatening me with arrest if I did not return their call immedietly. One thing I noticed was the computer voice used for this call was very intimidating. I think that was no doubt part of their plan. A quiet, friendly voice would not instill nearly as much fear as the voice that was chosen.
