CRA related scam

Why are these scam calls allowed to continue? So frustrating, hope karma bites them back!!!!
The name of the scumbag calling was Officer Erica Foster (heavy accent)

Same thing happened to me. I woke up to a voice message saying that the "situation" I am apart of will "unfold badly for me" if I don"t write down the message or have an attorney contact them immediately. I called back and was told that I don"t have the right to hang up the phone while they read me my vague "allegations," told me that I was randomly audited and they "discovered I owed 21." They said there would be an officer with a warrant for my arrest at my door at noon that day, and I would be escorted to court and sentenced to 90 days in prison -- UNLESS i was able to pay the amount off right away.

They proceeded to ask me how much money I was capable of paying off to hold off my arrest, and the rest would be paid "out of court" through an agreement with my bank. I was in so much distress... I could hardly understand him through his accent, and didn"t recognize ANY of the "allegations" or understand the law jargon he was spewing. In a daze I asked him how I was supposed to pay this off, and that I would like to talk to a lawyer first. He told me that I could try and contact a lawyer but that the police would be at my door before I was able to reach anyone....... and then he told me to "get dressed, stay on the line, and get to my bank." He reminded me every 5 minutes that this was happening because "I intentionally defrauded the government from 2012-2016." I suddenly came to fully and realized how absurd this was..... and that if I were to cheat on my taxes, which I do not... it wouldn"t be an immediate arrest - via phone call no less lol - Canada has procedures and warnings long before someone knocks on your door. I also began calming down and really listening, and could here faint noise in the background. If it were a confidential phone call... you wouldn"t casually hear other people bustling about...

When I realized it was a scam I told him I will take the arrest and call a lawyer and before he hung up on me he said "Alright miss Taylor, I wish you nothing but good luck, the police will be at your door within the hour." Click. Worst morning of my life.... for someone who has absolutely no law background whatsoever... they do a great job at feeding off of fear alone - regardless of how whack their information and tactic really is....

They"ve called twice again since. I just don"t pick up. So annoying.... it takes a real heap of evil for a person to manipulate students, single moms and the elderly or confused into tossing several grand out the door because they"ve been beat by fear and mental exploitation. Gross.

Same CRA message

Officer from CRA. They are scammers. Tehy also called from 613-927-9856 few hours later. CRA never contact you through phones, an official from CRA told me some times back when I inquired.

Pretended to be an agent from CRA and told me that he I will be sued with fraud if I will not call him back

They threaten to sic their lawyers on you and demand you call the back. I have had 4 calls/text messages in 4 days, so far. Trying to block them. The called with 613 927 9856. Hopefully they don"t have more numbers to use.

I recieved a call from that number. May 7, 2018 @ 10:53 AM. The Dude was claiming to be from the CRA. Sounded threatening, and very abrupt.. If it was a real person, as opposed to a recorded message, he would have got told to f**k OFF!

These scam/fraud calls are happening all the time. They leave a message purported from the CRA. This time they called my cell and Officer Foster left a taped message. I called them back(after masking my fone number) and got a live person. I asked for Officer Foster and was told he was not in but I was talking to Officer Kevin White. For effect I stuttered Is this the CRA?. Then I said clearly and loudly: Make you family proud of you and get an honest job! Then I hung up. I do this everytime I get these scam calls. They harrass me, I harrass them back..

scammer pretending to be an officer from the CRA. He called an accounting office. stupid person

claims to be form CRA, heavy very hard to understand accent, extremely rude, threatening, borderline abusive when you don"t play along. Claims he is sending the cops to my place to arrest me for fraud.

they have called several times to the land line over the past couple of weeks. Today, called on the cell line. I"ve only answered the call once and my husband answered once. total scam

This number called and left a msg that they we the Canadian Revenue Agency and that myself or my lawyer better get in touch with them immediately or I would be in serious trouble.....I just spoke to the CRA yesterday to update information for my taxes and there were no concerns with my file.

This company calls at least once a day, usually twice and sometimes three times, for the past TWO MONTHS.

CRA office threatening me with jail time if they don"t hear from lawyer...

I received 2 calls within 1 hour on May 4/2018. Then received one call May 5/2018. Same type of calls... fast talker (robotic, strong accent, and laughable! ) There was a threatening tone, and such morons should be eliminated. Perhaps EXTERMINATED would be a better word, since they are vermin!
