This number texted me pretending to be the Canada Revenue Agency with an e-transfer link. This could be very dangerous as someone could click on the link and enter their banking information. The CRA would never text you an e-transfer. Hope no one falls for this.

I was left a voicemail message, the man had an Indian accent, stating due to my inability to pay my taxes (which is a lie) within 24 hours there would be a lien on my bank account and assets. I got the similar call on my home phone today (in Calgary), after ignoring the calls on my cell phone for the last two days. Looking at the names of people posting on this blog, I"m convinced that this group of fraudsters got a calling list from one of the phone companies that pester us occassionaly to buy cheap long distance plans for calling South East Asia. I hope that I get called again by this group so that I can play along with them for a while and then tell them where they belong and where they need to shove those charges. ;-)
