This is the third time these folks have called to advise they have recieved a report indicating that my computer was at risk that a hacker had access the computer and was committin ilegal activies using my name. I couldn"t find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts: people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Probably calling with different offers for different companies, but for sure some general call center. I recommend to block the whole 2899195xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?

Received a call today from "Coast Medical." They said I filled out a survey a year ago and wanted to give me a free gift worth 0, and could they set up an appointment to drop it off this afternoon.. I replied that I didn"t remember filling out a survey, and she responded that it wasn"t surprising that I had forgotten, since she couldn"t remember what she had for breakfast.. I asked what the gift was, and she said that she didn"t know--it was usually something associated with the household or travel. I said that I wasn"t interested. When she asked why I wouldn"t be interested in a free gift, I responded that I had everything I needed. She ended the call quickly after that. I have now looked on the Web and I see that if someone had come, there would have been a sales demonstration of a product. At no time during the call did she indicate that she was selling anything, or that sales would be involved with the free gift "at no cost to me". She did not say what the survey I supposedly filled out was about. I"m glad that I said no.
