I got a voicemail from this same number today while I was out. Thanks for alerting me to its nature! I also received another one last night from a different phone number, 866-864-5835. Same deal. When I searched for it on the internet, I found comments similar to these listed here. Looks like they use a few different phone numbers, so beware.

Pretending to be Revenue Canada after leaving a message about a Criminal charge filed for tax evasion. Answered the phone as Revenue Canada but they didn"t identify themselves with a name and its registered as a cell phone in St. Catherine"s Ontario. I hung up on them as its obviously bogus.

Man with an accent said he was calling from the criminal investigation unit with the CRA about my taxes. He asked for my name and address; I told him he must have it if he’s got my phone number. He called me a “poor loser girl” before proceeding to tell me he had my location and was coming to my home to rape me in various ways. It was pretty disturbing as he got extremely graphic. Called the local police to report it. The officer who took my complaint let me know that the calls were originating from South Asia and were being made through the internet. Scam scam scam.
