This man barely spoke english and insisted that I need to turn on my computer and give him some information on it. I told him that I have a person who looks after my computer and that he will call when he ges here. This is the number I was given and I immediately looked it up after I hung up on him.

Just got a phone call from this number twice today caller id listed the number as VO722162244008 and as VO722125331008 I decided to answer the phone and started talking to a man with a very heavy south asian accent making it difficult to understand him. He stated he was from the canadian cyber incident response centre and tried to explain that someone had hacked into my computer and he needed me to go into my computer and verify some personal information. I was not going to do this. When I asked him for a contact number he gave me the 613 440 4277 when I asked him for information about there dept such as are you affiliated with microsoft, or sympatico. He stated he was a dept of the government. When I asked which level of govt. he said they were with the federal govt. I told him that I am not going into my computer until I have a chance to verify his information and then I hung up. when I dialed the number 613 440 4277 I got a recording that the number is out of service. When googled the VO numbers from above. the information I got told me they were numbers associated with cell phones either in India or China. This is a scam and do not fall for this.

This is the third time these folks have called to advise they have recieved a report indicating that my computer was at risk that a hacker had access the computer and was committin ilegal activies using my name. When I asked for the name of the organization he first gave initials when I questioned why a report was being sent to his company he then stated he worked for the Canadian Government as part of their cyber fraud team. I ask for a number that I could call him back on and he gave me 613-440-4277. The number/ caller name on my call display was V07181638590008
