I got a boiler room call before 8 am with all the usual delays and background noises. My call display said 11-416-854-1313 and private name. Guy who called had a strong East Indian accent. He said his name was Jordan, he is calling from Visa and asked for me by name. I don"t think he was with Visa. To verify, I will call the number on the back of my Visa card at lunch.

I recieved a call from these people as well. They were claiming they were the CRA and that i owed them money. Also same thing as JB above saying i would get jail time if it was not paid. How are scammers getting away with this in our country. Acting under the name of our revenue agency?!? Lol. I blocked the number but before i did that i called it back and i was able to briefly speak to a woman who answered and said she worked for the cra i asked for whom or what organizations are you collecting money and she lost it. I then called her out and said look this phone number is constantly being reported as a scam and i am reporting it and ahe yelled at me and said do it and hung up. They clearly are not with the cra.
