I called (613) 860- 1370 back repeatedly. One man finally stayed on the phone, first saying he’s from Rev. Can. When I asked for his Agent number, he gave me one. I called him on his bluff saying it’s wrong, in fact not even the correct number of digits. I then told him we are all aware of the scam and that the RCMP are on their trail, he’s going to get what’s coming to him. He had the nerve to say that’s what people have been telling him for 5 years. He then said he’s going to block me but hasn’t yet, I’m still calling and keeping them on the line. If I’m on with them then that’s one less victim for those s***s to take advantage of.

Googled VACATION BY NEWPORT 18773027085 and told the marketing dept. to STOP CALLING. She thinks I"m threatening her (I said "I traced it down to your Company") when I did not provide my name. I proceeded to tell her I"M THE ONE feeling threatened with a number that calls me on a daily basis but doesn"t respond and it"s a number that is out of service.
She then added my number on their do not call list.

asked to do the same thing..i found it funny when i called the number..usually a person answers by it"s company portfolio..and received no LOGO from the Company on the envelope with a cheque to do the same thing..ive been in mystery shopping and data entry and research of all types..i know how it works and if legal..then we would not be calling a Condo Complex instead..bare envelope without companies name...False Transit Id for bank..no such Transit # exists..so do not be fooled....you will be charged for fraud if you do attempt to change such an amount and do what they ask you to do..once it is Wired there is no trace and you are accountable owing thousands with your bank..then they will close your account immediatley and then phone police to charge you..not them..they are long gone..apparently after my research of all i could gather..their main place of this is in Montreal..all run by Fido and rogers prepaid phone numbers which anyone can get at anytime..no contract and they have phone forwarding..to N.S and Ontario..but the Main is Montreal..from what i found out so far..
and Linda thompson is Deceased and so is Stanley Peterson..so do your homework before you do anything at all..
i already reported this to the Internet Cyber Crime and i am keeping all documents as they will eventually need them..including the fake cheque for thousands...

a Business will answer by their company name and linked with the BBB..before you do anything with any cheque..one should have it Investigated and Verified by their bank first..to see if it is legit...the Bank will be happy to do that for you..before you put it in your account unknowingly...and voila..your dooped...so any bank can verify it first to see if it is verifiable or not before you do anything..watch out for yourself/s
do not fall for such things..we are educated enough to know the difference...
but it is so sad that some got duped already as i heard from the research...it is unfortunate they play on the innocent...

Called to state they were with CRA. Our receptionist told them to hold so they could speak with the General Manager. By the time the GM picked up the line they had hung up. GM blocked our company number and called back, a man answered the phone as "Investigative Branch of CRA" GM Called OPP and they advised that although the telephone number when searched online relates to a local business this was in fact a scam.
