My girlfriend received several calls from this number (one of which she decided to answer) telling her she owes Revenue Canada (CRA) ,500. She argued with them that she does not owe Revenue Canada anything but if she did, they would mail her, not phone her. The argument continued and they then said she would get a call from the RCMP. She then received two calls from 604-278-1212 which she did not answer. They left a message that they were Richmond RCMP and to call them back at 226-779-2177 or they would come arrest her! Ha! Why would RCMP in Richmond BC want to be called back in Stratford ON??? Obviously the RCMP caller ID was spoofed!! I called the number (with my number blocked) and it transferred a few times before being picked up. Nobody said anything but it sounded like a call centre in the background. The call disconnected after about 20 seconds.
