threaten to issue a warrant for my arrest if I did not call back immediately. Cannot wait to see who turns up at the door! Hate these scammers. Some older people could have a heart attack after receiving one of these fake calls.

Scam.
Called them back an had an exciting experience talcking to abou 5 different people presented as CRA an RCMP officers.
Gave them a fake name and adress and after "verification" was told that I owe to the CRA 98 and was given 45min to fix the issue in private. Unless I chose court - 5yers of jail and ~000
But then, don"t know why, my story failed apart and they start swearing at me :)))

This is a scam. They use different numbers from different cities / provinces. I was initially called from an Ontario number. I asked for identification and proof they are revenue Canada - they hung up. Called the police and much to my surprise was told they know about it, but there is nothing they can do, because apparently the call centres are in other countries. ALWAS ASK FOR A NUMBER TO CALL THEM BACK & ID NUMBER (all CRA agents have one).

I had the same thing happen to me. I got a phone call , i answered and it was an automated message saying there was a lawsuit against me and that if i did not call back directly they would be issuing a warrant for my arrest and it hung up. Of course i was curious so i called back but i just got a "call rejected" and it just hung up. This is how they get you to keep calling (that"s exactly what i did). Finally someone answered so i said Hello please hold on for a moment while i go somewhere private. So i say hello again. I could hear people in the background talking as if to tell her what to say. Yes Melanie Landry there is a lawsuit against you. I said, oh really... can you give me more details... she paused then hung up. I"ll prob try calling again a few times so i can mess with them. Good times :-)
