He left a message saying I was under investigation for fraud with the CRA. I knew it was a scam right away. I called back the number & he answered *Canada revenue* not Canada Revenue agency... I screamed at him & told him if he calls my number again I will charge him with harassment & hung up... when I called back again, he refused to answer. Called from my husband"s phone, he answered Canada Revenue Fraud Dept... my husband said *you just called my wife* & the guy hung up before he could finish his sentence.

Described themselves as CRA and threatened to take legal action toward me; freeze my assets, repossess my house and all of my assets if I do not return the call to settle the dispute.

I did not call back rather lookup the phone number and see if anyone else experienced this. One other person noted a similar call (below) on the same day I received my call.

This was a pre-recorded playback so there was no opportunity to discuss the matter with an individual on the initial call. The other member here actually called back and mentioned they wanted compensation or their house and possessions would be seized.

This has all the ingredients present to be a scam, I recommend not returning the call to anyone who receives this pre-recorded playback.
