Definitely a scam. They called a couple of times and I ignored it, then decided to answer. The caller just kept saying "Sir, Sir, Sir" so I said, "Do you even know my name? What is the case file number do I can pass it on to my lawyer and he will represent me" The caller starting backtracking and said we can take care of this now and if I pay this amount now all legal proceedings would stop. It takes a lot more than a phone call to stop or start legal action in Canada. Don"t be fooled. CRA will send written notice to you via registered mail for any offenses. Report this number to RCMP Fraud Investigations.
