Just received a call from this number. A guy with an Indian accent said he was from the Canada Revenue Agency. He said ignoring this second attempt at contact me to make an initial appearance before the magistrate could basically get me arrested and put in jail. This is definitely a scam. I tried to call number back to see what kind of info the scammers were looking for but phone only rang once and was disconnected.

Same recorded message, pretending to be calling from CRA. This kind of scam is probably targeted towards recent immigrants who have just filed their first tax return and might believe that they did something wrong. I"m in Quebec and my tax centre is certainly not in Ontario, but I"m afraid a few immigrants might be victims of this scam.

Also received same message, Indian accent, aggressive wording, claiming not to hang up, which would be considered a deliberate 2nd attempt to avoid paying. Instructed to call number. Calling number gets an Indian accent woman who answer "How may I help you" which is an instant indication this is NOT the CRA or government. I said "I received a call from you, who are you?" and they hung up after a brief pause.

Same story as the others posted here. Indian accent (not unbelievable for Canada). They called and alerted me that I had made fraudulent errors on my taxes from 2013 and that I have been sought for an executable warrant and will be arrested for an unbailable offense later today. They indicated that I owed 97 to the CRA and that there was "an official procedure to submit the funds" and got me to confirm that I wanted to resolve the problem today. At this point, I was concerned but growing increasingly suspicious so while I was talking to them I typed in the phone number that called me into google and found this website. I asked them straight up if this was a scam and then he got mildly defensive and said that it isn"t his responsibility to demonstrate his legitimacy to me as I called him and then he hung up on me. He ended by saying that the police would be by later today to execute the warrant and arrest me. I have an anxiety order so all this was rather frightening to me. I"m just glad that this website provided some assurance. Thank you.
