I just received this call. And I have heard a podcast about this. These people are calling through a third party phone company (who are in on it) and receive money for every call. And the longer you keep them on the line the more money they get for the call. They start with the breathing but sometimes you"ll hear a baseball game or something else that peaks your curiosity so you stay on the line longer.
Not sure what to do about this. Forgot that part of the podcast.

This is TD insurance, they need to confirm your postcode to ensure they are speaking to their insured. Most likely they wanted to tell you about a change in your policy or a claim result or that you are up for renewal.
Since so many people don"t read their mail if it"s not a bill, more and more companies choose to call their clients, especially with complicated matters like insurance so they can direct any questions you may have immideately.
