Same - I get calls once a week - Only left a voicemail I think once with someone typing on their keyboard next to the receiver.... This is getting as bad as email scams, yet the telecommunications companies let it continue - Just like DDoS attacks via their systems etc. They only step it when you"re late on your bill payment, otherwise we get S****y block features on our phones because we the end users have to deal with the incoming BS. Think they would have a forbes/spamhaus blacklist of sorts depicting reported numbers they themselves manage... Perhaps they do but they can"t be bothered......Either way - SAD.

I nearly lost seven thousand dollars today. This man knew everything about me. I owed car one thousand dollars and that is why I thought the call was legitimate. I asked why seven thousand and he said the had to pay the officers to have me arrested and will be if I don"t pay this money within the hour. I realized it was a scam when he told me not to discuss this with anyone even the bank. I hung up on him and called the police and they told me to ignore the calls. The caller continued to bug me for the next three hours leaving threatening messages. Thank god I did not part with my hard earned money.

This caller identified self as cody (will not give the respect of capitalizing name) said I won a trip to Disneyland which I never entered any contest for. When questioned by myself, he gave me all my personal info. and my credit card number, kept asking for the expiration date for a deposit of 500.00. MY OBSERVATIONS:
A. Possibly only a person scalping phone numbers would know how to get the most desirable reused or reassigned phone numbers by jumping the cue.
B. The motive for posting the secret on how to get phone numbers ahead of everyone escaped me at first. Then I looked at all vendetta spam complaints about selling prices. So why would anyone get up in the middle of the night to get the best phone numbers and then only resell them for , , or . I based this on the lowest priced Toronto, Canada kijiji ads. It has to be a Buyer"s Market for Toronto phone numbers. That is, there are more people activating and selling phone numbers than there are buyers. The best advertised deal would get the buyer, or the best number with the lowest price. All this vendetta spam of tarnishing phone numbers for sale and the competition would be somewhat similar to the Saudis trying to eliminate our Oil Shale Industry by price dumping oil because of overproduction. If the competition gives up, the person posting the secret would delete the messages explaining how to get the best phone numbers. That"s why I posted the full quoted messages here.
C. Like "Blame it on Canada" at http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-416-554-4844 I arrived at the same conclusion. I based this on Youtube, social media posts, discussion group posts, and scambook SBID ID web searches. My search results point to a phone number seller up in Canada mentioned in several local news reports. The vendetta posts targeting the competition, Kijiji, and Craigslist can be traced to an advertiser using 416-707-7707, 416-910-2030, ViP416NUMBERS.com and 416NUMBERS.com .

I received a voice mail this afternoon from a Indian or Arabic sounding accent named Officer Murphy from Criminal Investigation Division of Canada Revenue Agency informing me that there is three(3) federal charges or affidavit filed against me.
