Their 1-888 255-0265 Ext. 0266 number that they ask you to call them back at...does not work.
Call the RCMP and report them as dishonest and rude.
(Yes, I had a debt with a service supplier, and I have made good with the supplier.)
The CRC still calls thinking they have control of the account.
Suppleir has informed them account is paid in full, and still calls from CRC.
Like I said, they do not know what they are doing.

Same thing happened to me - someone with heavy accent called my at work several times. I did not pick up because the # did not look US but my coworker picked it up the last time and she asked for me. This scammer woman claimed that she is from Blue Cross Blue Shield and trying to "update" my personal info. I was going to hang up but she actually has all my personal info ready. Don"t know where she got my name, phone, home address, health insurance carrier and birthday but with the data breaching from big cooperation we heard everyday, I think all our personal information are compromised and out there for people to steal. I called my health insurance company immediately and they confirmed that they never called their clients. Yes, it"s a scammer and don"t answer it if you see this #.

This is a telemarketing company from Montreal. I did some digging around after they called my Grandma and spoke to her for 10 minutes. It looks like they presented themselves as being from Wawanesa (which is an insurance company). What"s interesting actuall is that they do not only have Wawanesa as their client. They are not actually the company they claim to be from. They are independant telemarketing company which sells on behalf of their clients.
So when you get a call from this number it could be virtually anyone calling on behalf of any company. My friends work in telemarketing so I think we should give these guys some slack...
