613-704-4452 robotic voice threatening an arrest warrant if they didn"t get a call back from our lawyer. I tried phoning the number back and it rings, then gives a busy signal. This is a landline based telephone number operated by Iristel inc. in Brockville, ON.
I have family who is a lawyer and who work in a police department. I guess I will let them handle this. The person(s) behind this scam need to get the arrest warrant.
I feel bad for senior citizens who don"t realize it"s a scam. It can be very traumatic for them.

This number left a message on my 88 yr old mother"s machine threatening some type of legal action if she or her attorney did not call back. She tried a few times to call to no avail......Call would not go through. I have now warned her not to answer any caller that does not identify themselves , never to call back and forward the number to me for checking up on

I was going to call them and tell them just where to go but the call would not go through. Some Gov"t agencies should do something about these people. This is Canada. There is modern technology to get these crooks. They will harass weak minded people into fear. Apparently Brockville is where it originated from. Bloody crooks.

Not sure why the police can"t shut this number down. Has called our cell number off and on for the last few months threatening to have us arrested. What do they gain? Last one insisted we have our "lawyer" call them. Don"t tell me that in this day and age the authorities can"t have phone callers like these permanently disconnected. I worry most about the elderly falling for it and at the very least becoming very upset.

Call claims to be CRA Major Crimes Unit, threatening that a warrant for my arrest has been issued.
I know better so I wasn"t bothered by it, but it could be convincing to someone who was vulnerable. SAD that scammers are out there doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won"t answer a call that is "unknown" coming from an area code where I don"t know anyone. Have had a similar call from an Ontario region where they threaten legal action regarding CRA. The police have already warned about these spam calls. Just hang up on them.

this number was thescammy CRA "Major Crimes unit" (there"s no such thing) and done with a recording of a voice essentially the same. It sounds pretty convincing if you were elderly and unaware. Putting it here incase someone googles the number. Just ignore it.
