This is a scam. They called my phone 3 times, once leaving a message and once hanging up when I picked up. I called back, as requested, from an alternate phone and they demanded my name and address so they could explain to me the warrant for my arrest as per CRA. Instructions for all those involved with losing money to this scam. Here is what I have done so far and what I can tell ALL of you to do to ensure we catch her.....
1. Make sure you start a case with the police for fraud no matter how large or small the dollar amount was. The police will not bother with 1 small case BUT will pursue a case with multiple victims that add up to larger amounts.
2. Once you have contacted the police and started your case it will be moved to the FRAUD DEPT.
You now need to contact the fraud dept and ask if your case has been assigned or not as of yet. IF it has been assigned YOU MUST ask for the officer and supervisor assigned to the case - contact them in person or by phone NOT via email and let them know there are many others that have gone through this as well. It is not just you.
If your case has not been assigned as of yet - ask to speak to a supervisor and express the same thing in my aforementioned comment.
3. I have already found out that MINDY is using a VOIP phone for this phone number - not a cell or landline - the Phone provider is through a company by the name of IRISTEL (1-833-474-7835)
I have spoken with security at this company and they will gladly provide the client info to this phone number ONLY if a law enforcement officer will email them for the request. They need to send an email to - security@iristel.com
Ask for the clients identity - NAME, ADDRESS, CONTACT INFO, How are they paying for the service - request payment info (Ie BANK INFO, CREDIT CARD NUMBERS), HOW long has the person been using/paying for this line
ALL of this info will assist the police in finding MINDY"s true identity and the capture of this/these scammers.
I will be speaking with the Fraud Dept in Niagara today advising them of these things - PLEASE DO THE SAME to ensure our cases are viewed as important and dealt with asap as priority.

Also the website they are using - I have researched and it was created Sept 2018 and last updated Sept 2018 - They registered the website via NETWORK SOLUTIONS LLC (a usa company) The WHOIS lookup usually shows the website owners contact info - but Mindy has blocked that so the public can"t see it openly. I am sure - just like the phone provider - if the police contact the web address provider, they to will hand over the client info to confirm the scammers identity.
