John, I got caught as well (read Sheldon"s post above). I have filed with the RCMP as well as working with my bank. Speak with your bank and the RCMP and get the RCMP to issue an order to get your bank to disclose where the money was deposited. Hope this helps.

I have got one for sure prank call from this number, I know it is an Orillia cell phone number. I may have got two prank calls from the same number but the first time the number was blocked and the second time it wasn"t. the number displayed is one called a switched number; it is used to route calls from many numbers and many callers -- like when a large company displays the number of its main line, but the call could be coming from a totally different number in the system. Skype does similar, and so it is impossible to pin down the caller from this kind of number.
FYI, calls where there is no on on the other end often means they are seeing if your number will answer, so as to send a telemarketer to call you later.

I received a call from 587-920-4777 in Edmonton with a robot voice leaving me a voice mail stating that they will "get me arrested" if I don"t return the call. Apparently it"s from the "CRA" and ironically I"m a federal government employee working for the CRA. This is a SCAM and NOT a real call. Please do not worry if you receive this voice mail, just block the caller and move on with your life happily. If CRA needs to find you - they will correspond in writing first before threatening anything which would first be legal litigation prior to any arrest. Only a judge can order you detained for any fraudulent CRA activities.
