Don’t answer as it’s a male scammer trying to give a long rushed story impersonating a northern Alberta Band Chief wanting to buy a house for his daughter in record time. We played along to see what he would say and how far he would take it and we shut it down when he wanted us to email him content,800. We called this number back after he stopped calling as there were repeat calls from him in one night as we were aware there are news articles dating back to 2012 about people impersonating band chiefs buying things off Kijiji as we googled the topic while he talked and unfortunately he answered as we wanted to know what his voicemail said. Do not waste your time with this scammer.

These guys are phishers/scammers. They are just trying to extract your information out of you. I have spoken to one of their representatives several times and asked to be removed from their list, pointing out that I am registered on the National Do Not Call list. This often results in them hanging up on me, or just patronizing me. They still call me every day. It is a complete mystery to me why the FBI hasn"t shut them down.

I was on POF (Plenty of Fish) dating site and this man connected with me saying he is living locally to me in the Vancouver, BC area. He said he is originally from Brazil and showed photos of a man who could be Brazilian. This phone number is a local number (778 is a BC, Canada prefix). After some suspicion that he was a scammer, I ended up doing a face-to-face video with him, which usually does not happen. He is a young black African man living in South Africa. He is using this number to scam women on dating sites. Please beware. It is easy to get a free local phone number online and have calls directed to your cell phone, even if you are in a different country. Many people do not realize this. I have a lot of online dating experience and have interacted with scammers for years. I also teach about it. They often say sad stories to gain your sympathy, but do not fall for this. Most are pathological liars. Be wary and do not give your personal information to anyone or believe anything you see online. There is a high percentage of scammers on dating sites.

If bell Canada is servicing this number and are getting complaints about these scammers then Bell should charge the owner of the # for every complaint of at least 50 bucks... If you have your # on the National do not call list ...and they call you you can report them and the owner of this # will get charged for harassment and the phone company has to oblige by their own rules to cut their # off and charge them for mis-use of the contract....

Call from this number +1 (514) 242-4724 was a recorded message about winning a 0 voucher from Amazon. When I got connected to a person, the lady first validated that my area code is 514 and then offered a promotional vacation package. She hung up on me right after I started asking for more details about their company. I called back the same number however the number was spoofed - the scammers are able to display some randomly generated caller IDs. Don"t get mad calling back shouting at the recipient. This is a random number has nothing to do with the scammer. Bastards! I wish them get tangled and suffocated in the telephone wires one day.
