These callers impersonate someone telling me to call back. I have received MANY calls from this company over the last year. There was an option, when I returned the call to get them to stop, to be removed from this list. I asked to do so but was hung up on. Just got a call from this number it was automated message saying I was going to be arrested. I called the number back and a guy answered "Canada Revenue Agency." I told him I just got call from this number and he asked for my name. I asked him to prove he was actually from Canada Revenue Agency and he said "what do you mean?" I said prove it and i will give you my name. He then told me that he was going to call the RCMP and have me arrested if I didn"t give him my name. I told him that everything on the internet is saying this number is a scam and he hung up on me.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won"t fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don"t answer the phone. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft and is interstate, the FBI should be forced to get involved. Yes - CRA message - I called back - the person answers "CRA" - I told him HE needs a criminal lawyer. When I asked his name he hung up. Two days later another call from exactly the same number. They don"t seem to be worried about using the same number. It"s amazing with present day technology that they cannot be stopped.
