I received a call who said it was Officer Shawn White from CRA and that myself or my lawyer better return the call or I would be arrested. When returning call he threatened that I would be arrested for tax fraud I told him this was impossible ...I told him I had no money then he hung up on me. Very loud in the background like telemarketers ....tried to call him back again computer rejected call hung up. Obviously a scam! BEWARE!

Seems like CRA"s system may be compromised. I have an unlisted number and the day after I added it to my CRA account I get this call!

Urgent message from the "CRA". Regarding taxes which must be paid immediatey. He suggested that I or my lawyer should call back immediately to avoid further action being taken. Sounded like a complete scam to me because Revenue Canada would ALWAYS contact someone in writing first.... And never leave a pre-recorded message.

More than likely a collection agency. Shawn White supposedly was the name of the person that left the voice mail. That is who they said they were. Very English message. When returned call could hear all kinds of chatting like a telemarketing room in the background. Expect he is the supervisor that calls and leaves the threatening messages, and then get"s his little gophers to take calls and try to collect information

Returned the call. Aggressive message claimed they were CRA legal department and myself or my lawyer better contact them before they take action. When I called a very hard to understand east-indian accented individual insisted on attempting to get my name. He continue to try to tell me something but I could not understand him.. I have worked in a shop with 250 east Indians and have never heard such intentional jibberish like I heard. I strongly suspect they are a collection agency of some type. I have reported them to both CRA and RCMP for fraud for representing themselves as a government agency
