This is the second such call today. The first was probably from the same scam artists with a thick accent who claimed they were federal agents from the Social Security Adm near the Texas border but their phone number was from South Carolina. The second call emanated from the same toll-free number and the automated message was the same as the above message from the previous posters and claimed to be from the US Treasury. I have filed a complaint with the Social Security Adm re the first caller. The first call claimed it would necessary for me to be issued a new SSN.
