Yes, they left an automated voice mail, asking to call back that dept # 226-214-3868. The message states that a case, a warrant, or a lawsuit, has been filed under your name, and to call back immediately. Failure to call will result in arrest.
This is not the way the Canada Tax Agency or gov"t will reach out. This is out of the blue, no arrest warrant is initiated before a minimum of effort trying to reach out the taxpayer or citizen, through normal channels. For one, I am not hiding, and I have no idea why the gov"t would want to arrest me.
Ignore this call, just a phishing attempt, of a new type.
