The guy on the other end informed me he was with a furnace and a/c company located in North York, ON. I asked him to repeat the name of the company twice which he kept saying very fast. He kept asking if I was the home owner and questions to get me to answer "yes". I said I wasn"t interested and he became more pushy and just kept talking and I hung up.

Spoke so fast I couldn"t understand....Blah, blah, blah Heating/AC company. Attempted to have me answer questions like "when are you home" and that my" water heater required service" (that"s strange it"s brand new). Simply ignore them or tell them to take a hike. Canada requires a better service than "DNC" list since these scammers can"t really be reported because they change numbers so quickly....hate them all!

The very same issue. A call from 647-797-4391 claiming that their A/C Furnace Company will come by and perform an inspection of my A/C Furnace. I asked him what an "A/C Furnace" is and he could not answer. He was very aggressive.. I agree, likely one of those "get them to say "yes"" scams. It seems that in this day and age, 80% of the phone calls I receive on my land line (and there aren"t that many any more) are either a Scam or unwanted Marketing call. This really devalues the Service, leaving me to wonder why I"m paying for this. Phone companies should take a greater interest in curtailing these abuses.

The lesson here, if you don"t know the number, don"t answer the phone. Anyone truly interested in talking to you will leave a message.and you can decide if you want to talk to them.

When I picked up phone and said Hello like 4 times, I can hear them starting to speak so I hung up phone, if it was a legit call, they would have answered right away. I have been getting a ton of calls like these since the beginning of March, and they try with all different number, I end up having to block all of them. A couple of times they call and said they are from Microsoft, then they call a couple of weeks later and said they have a security proposal, they give you free this and free that, and then the famous duct cleaning scam. This is all a scam to rip people of their hard earned money. Just don"t pick up and research no. and block them

I received a call from 647-797-4391 today on Apr 12, 2017. The guy with the name of Chris said he is from water tank company and want to book for tomorrow for complimentary inspection and no obligation after. He asked me who is the home owner and also asked the name of the home owner. I said yes at first place and once he hung up I called to cancel the appointment but nobody answered the phone. I called few times but nobody answered again. They are scammers for sure.

I got call from that number and because I have a new home and lots of service guys are coming I was confused and we made an appointment. What I did not like, that the guy was talking too fast and did not hear half from what I was saying to him. In two days it was another call from different number and the girl was confirming the appointment. Than I realized that they used my home phone, which I did not give anyone AT ALL! I was scared. Thanks God we have an alarm system and the big sign on a front about it... Nobody came in the "appointment " time. It can be just scam, or can be some robbers, you never know. They will tell you the time and you will say: I am not available in this time, means it"s nobody"s home...

SCAM - After saying "hello" a few times, some distant sounding voice telling me he"s calling me from HST(? Wasn"t clear) company and was scheduling appointment to check furnace and a/c. He said the call was being monitored for quality assurance. Lol. Acting like I couldn"t hear to get him to repeat, he said they"re a company in North York and were calling to schedule the appointment and giving me available times and such. He was being coached and taking way too long to answer simple questions. Like the other post, they were trying to get me to say yes. Lol SCAM

The guys spoke very quickly introducing a Hot Water tank company telling me in an authoritative voice that the call was being recorded. He said that he was booking a call for someone to come and inspect our Hot Water tank, not asking - telling. I told him that it wasn"t going to happen, and hung up. Definitely not above board.
