I didn"t answer because I don"t know the number but I called back and a man answered and asked for my name.. I promptly hung up because I could tell it was a scam. The voicemail message says: "This call is from the tax department of Canada Revenue Agency. The reason behind this call is that there is a case a lawsuit that is getting filed under your name. The moment you receive this message. I need you to get back to me on my department division number that is 647-478-2156 I repeat 647-478-2156. Now if I don"t hear a call from you. As long as they did not mention your name. it is a bullshit scam phone call. such as dear customer, dear, sir/madam,,,etc. any message does not have your name on the top of any letter it is most likely to be a scam.

They left a voicemail stating that I had to call back or I would be arrested for a law suit filed against me... They didn"t include any identifying information about me or the "lawsuit"..very general message. When Revenue Canada actually calls me, it"s on my work number, not my personal cell.

I believe it is a scam. They said a law suit was being held against me, and if I didn"t call them back they would send the police to pick me up. I guess the police are gonna have to come pick me up because I don"t even know what the law suit is about. Feels very much like a scam.
