im the user of this number from toronto ,i did not make any credit card company phone call to anyone. my number probably got hack by some scam credit card company so plz dont give any info when u receive call from this number, i alrdy report this problem to my carrier Bell which they said they can do nothing about it and i also have report this to the cop as well...if any1 out there know how to solve this plz let me know..i"ve been getting calls from all over the country as well which is F***n annoying.

Oct 1/2012 Rec"d a call from 416-823-1234, Indicated it was Mastercard verification centre. I asked them , who they were calling for a number of times, they kept repeating they were from Mastercard verification centre, after a number attempts they indicated Bank of Montreal. I don;t have a BMO card. so there was some hesitation, they started to ask other questions, I hung up. It sounded like a scam from the very beginning.

Said he worked for both mastercard and visa verification department. I asked what he was verifying and told me my interest rate was very high. I told him if he was my credit card company that he would know my actual rate. Then said I had a BMO mastercard......nope.

Caller had a Philipino voice and claimed to be calling from Visa Mastercard Low Interest accounts and knew my first name (probably from phone listing). He asked about my CC accts that were over 10%, and he got frustrated when I said I didn"t have any and ask if I was sure. I then hung up the phone.
