Credit card scam. Their schtick seems to be rattling off a random number in the hopes that you"ll correct them. Don"t bother trying to get on their do-not-call list, they"ll laugh, tell you to shut up, hang up, and call you again soon after. They"ve been ringing me all day.

Called today @ 2:28 PM. Caller claimed to be from VISA office offering to lower credit card interest rate. Got so upset and hung up when I did not give out my VISA card number. Reported the number to my bank.

They called me also,I hit the # 0 over and over as fast as you can for as long as you can,it stops them pretty quick as it screws up there calling lines and they can`t use their phone for a bit

Automated call from "The Credit Card Company". Right. Hit "#" key about 20 times and the computer hangs up. I do that to ALL automated and human telemarketers and scammers.

Called at 2:49 March 9th, since I didn"t know the number didn"t answer. I am on the do not call list and I want these calls stopped.

Called and hung up.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. At the height of this telephone debacle it"s been said that each call center was making 27 calls a second, which is a whopping 2.4 million calls in a single day.
The criminals behind this operation aren"t going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them almost nothing and they make millions of them so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.
Unfortunately blowing an air horn or whistle doesn"t work either. Their headset have noise dampeners plus they are expecting it. However with that said if it makes you feel better then by all means give it a shot.

Why hasn"t the FBI used the RICO act and gone after these organizations? On October 15, 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (18 U.S.C. §§ 1961–1968), commonly referred to as the "RICO Act", became United States law. The RICO Act allowed law enforcement to charge a person or group of people with racketeering, defined as committing multiple violations of certain varieties within a ten-year period. The purpose of the RICO Act was stated as "the elimination of the infiltration of organized crime and racketeering into legitimate organizations operating in interstate commerce". S.Rep. No. 617, 91st Cong., 1st Sess. 76 (1968). However, the statute is sufficiently broad to encompass illegal activities relating to any enterprise affecting interstate or foreign commerce.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to 00 for each violation.

This is an all out attack from these scum sucking filthy pigs! EVERYONE should be reporting them everywhere that they can. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft and is interstate, the FBI should be forced to get involved. Charge them with a CRIMINAL offense and throw them in prison instead of the FCC saying "Naughty - naughty, now go out and play nice". (Prosecute them in criminal court instead of civil penalties).

The caller says that it"s my second and final notice about my credit card. When I use the no. 1 button to speak to an operator and tell him/her that I don"t want to receive these calls - I"m on the do not call list, they hang up on me. It"s bad enough that these creeps call me when I"m on the do not call list and that they don"t give the no. 3 option of opting out of the calls, but it"s totally ignorant of them to hang up on me after they are the ones who called in the first place. I know it has to do with a large financial institute that is trying to drum up business. I will find out their name again and make sure that I, my relatives and friends never have anything to do with these sleazy creeps. I would love to see them charged with harassment and have to pay an enormous fine, so that they shut down their call lines because they lost more than they made.

Called at 5.44pm MST. Did not answer, did not leave a message. Checked here. I like Vivian"s idea of hitting 0 over and over again to s***w them up. Next time I"ll try that. Then I"ll call block them.
