Seems from the comments here this is a scam. Perhaps from the "technical department " asking if we are the owner of the "computer" which calls us on a regular basis. Will check next time the "technical department" calls and see if t is the same number. Then we can block it.

Criminals are spoofing this number to run a couple of different scams. I feel sorry for the innocent party who has the number.

The callers are likely off-shore criminals trying to get your credit card info or to get access to your computer via the "this is Microsoft calling about your computer which is sending error messages to other computers" (REALLY!!! Is there anyone out there who would fall for this scam after all the publicity about it???)

I have had numerous calls from this number and have yet to hear anything when I answer. I feel it borders on Harassment, as its being happening almost daily. I am a disabled senior, who lives with Chronic Pain and if I have to get up to answer a call, it can be very painful.

Call came at 9:10AM. Answering machine took call. Now my phone (Land line) does not work. My phone is saying that "the line is in use". I can not clear it, apparently Telus, my provider, is not going to deal with it until Tuesday (due to long weekend). Who knows what will happen to my bill by then.
