As usual, I didn"t answer this call: No caller ID. But this time, it left a voice message . . . something about a call on May 2nd that I didn"t return. Imagine!!! Caller was some foreign character, some legal matter, with a threat to do something if he didn"t hear back from me or my "attorney". Told me to use the same number to get back to him. Received a call on Friday, Dec 8th from someone claiming to be CRA yelling on phone saying I had committed tax fraud and a warrant for my arrest was in progress. Said I owed ,000+. I requested their name and documentation and they hung up on me.
Received a second call from the 613 number, with same message, but from a "different officer". I asked what this was pertaining to, requested information and challenged their claim and they hung up on me. I called back and advised I would report to police and to STOP calling.

As soon as I clicked the receive button the recorded message started. It was supposedly from CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) threatening me with dire consequences relating to fraud and heaven knows what else if I did not return their call immediately. I guess they are going to be waiting a long time. The number appears to come from Woodstock, Ontario but could just as easily been spoofed. I can imagine how intimidating a call like this might be to some people, so I shall be reporting the call to the CRA.
