I can confirm. They said they were from the ARC and I owed 5000 in back taxes. The biggest flag was when they managed to call me with my accountant"s phone number and the man spoke English, when my accountant speaks only French, and is a woman.

This number calls several times, its a scam, if they call you regarding your tax fraud etc, IRS/CRA wont call you they will send you a letter about your tax issue including assigned case number etc. they will not request automatic settlement but would request documentations or letter regarding your tax issues.
