Got a call from a very local number- same area code and 3 number prefix as mine -on my caller ID- and answered. A Robocall kicked in and said they were from Amazon Fraud Dept. and asked if I had placed an order of 9.99. If I didn't I was to call 844-991-4210 to stop this transaction. Checked out Amazon- no such number - called the locally owned phone office that issues the phone numbers for our areas. No, they said, that number has not been issued. They said if you call the number they want the numbers of the card for Amazon and other personal information. To further verify, went directly to the Amazon website and no orders have been placed.
