xact situation happened to me today (vm with lawsuit; after call within 45 minutes I would be contacted by RCMP to be taken into custody for 24hrs). Steven White left on my vm. Then same voice says their name is Kevin Brown when I called back. Then passed on to senior role Robert Smith. I asked them for a case number which they gave me and then they wanted me to give them my full information. I asked them to give me the info so that I can verify it. I said I never received any mail and they said they have 16 electronic proofs of this info being sent to me.

Call regarding lowering credit card interest rate.
The first time I answered one of these calls, they wanted a 0 "one time" fee, in order to qualify for a lower interest rate.
I told the Operator, "No thank-you. I"ll handle this myself," and hung up.
Since then, the minute I hear: "Press 1 to connect . . . " I hang up.
I have had several of these calls, but each with a different phone number.

Says nothing is wrong with my credit card at this time but to lower my rates my time is expiring and to press the number 1 key. Call was forwarded but nobody answers. Sounds like the same recording that I get on a daily basis from many other phone numbers. When you do get a person and ask to be taken off their call list they usually just hang up on you. Sometimes they use caller ID block and you have bogus return numbers.
