Answered and the caller did not speak. These are harassment calls where the caller is gathering voice data, and any other material possible as spoken by the targeted person. Do Not Call is laughable in its inability to stop these calls.
As they are usually from India or middle Eastern countries, where Canada has no jurisdiction, we are now the object of phone terrorism.
The sooner phone companies can intercept these people the better.
A warning to the elderly, to newcomers to Canada and to Canadians in general NEVER give your credit card, phone number, name or ANY personal information to people over the phone. They are out to harm you and they will.

They said that it was the "Investigation of _________ agency. I answered the call at 2am. It was a guy asking for me and I asked who it was he said he was from Quantam code and I asked him how he got my number he said I had signed up for something but in reality I didn"t even get past the terms and conditions of the website before finding out it was a scam so I backed out of it and immediately got a call. When I told him that I was doing more research on this he said "f*ck you then" and hung up

I received a call from this number 4x in the last week. I answered only once and there was an automat telling me that I am in a deep trouble and I have to call another number to get more details. Because I did not have a pen, I could not write it down and when I called this number later to get the number to call, a machine told me to leave a message. I did not at that time but today the number does not exist any more.
What I want to say though, is that because they chase me for failing to file my GST, which not true, by the way, I believe that in the scam is involved someone familial with this seeming failure on my part. Somebody actually working for the government at the tax department.
Police should definitely look at it!
