I had the same call except from 705-986-0513. They state they are from Canada Revenue Agency and there"s a warrant for my arrest and legal action against me unless I pay monies to them immediately. My son (who is a network security specialist) followed through with the caller and they expected him to leave monies at a drop off place specifically outlined by them. He had to go through a series of 5 phone calls each one of them providing differing instructions. BE VERY AWARE !!

Got the same "call back or be arrested" call - sounds legitimate, but then I called back and the guy answered right away which is strange for a government collections phone number and then he sounded like he was mid-bite into his lunch working out of a mall food court. Sad for the people who fall for this...

Anytime you give your number online (facebook or any other site) the internet stores it. These scammers can use free programs on the internet to scan "the internet" for numbers. These people most of the time will not know your name, they are basically calling random numbers until someone stupid enough will bite.... This is why nobody should give their numbers to any company online.. most of the time we are thinking it is harmless but anything on the internet can be tracked or hacked.. there they can check if any of their emails have been breached.. This means that if you signed up for myspace back in the day, you gave your email address to myspace.. in 2008 myspace was hacked and millions of peoples emails and other information was passed on to a hacker and this hacker may have sold this information to scammers or did something else with it... Tons of loud telemarketing in the background. Such an obvious scam. Told me there have been several miscalculations in my taxes and asked if I had a lawyer to represent me. Cute.

these people called and told me to contact them immediately or they would have me arrested. I called and first was told by some low life woman that I was too late to pay and the police would be coming to arrest me. She then hung up on me. Of course I called back....got some idiot guy who when I asked if I could pay my debt, he said ok...I proceeded to give him a fake MC card but then he told me they don"t accept credit cards. I asked BUT how can I pay, he told me to go to my local Revenue Canada office. I asked how much I owed them and he said they will tell you. I stayed on the phone with him for over 10 min. I told him I was recording the call and submitting it to the RCMP. He answered, it"s ok...I can"t be traced. Then he got all sexual with me. These people MUST MUST MUST be stopped. It could be our parents or grandparents they contact next. Most older people do not understand a scam when they hear it so they pay the so called debt. Someone needs to do something fast. They are calling from Barrie Ontario. How low can we go???? This is awful, I"m scared for those who don"t know better.

Little do these obviously ignorant and low bread individuals know, that fraud squad investigators, are on their trail.
