I just got a voicemail that had a robot voice that was only reading out the numbers 6139279886 and I thought to myself, "Is this a secret code or something?".

I looked those numbers up and this page was the first thing I found. I was very confused and very curious but now I"m just disappointed.

This number has called me a few times too.
It"s an auto text to speech telling me something legal! well it"s obviously a scam.

I received the same call today.

Caller ID identified the number as belonging to a local private party (a Michael Doyle of Clayton) but following pause on connection caller identified as representing Physician"s Blend of Las Vegas, Nevada.

I received call from this number. today. A recorded voice said something regarding a lawsuit. It"s a scam.

Claimed to be the CRA.
Why does Bell allow this number to remain in service?
Where are the police in this?
They get millions to combat cyber fraud and can not shut down a local Bell number that is being used.

This person called me and threatened me of arrest and asked me to pay 00 to cancel my law suit filed by federal government of Canada( CRA)

Received the same call. The caller left a message about a lawsuit or something and asked me to call back. Obviously it"s a scam.

Automated message claimming from CRA, it is SCAM, had been warned of such call,

I received the same call just now, figured it was a scam.

I received a call from this number (male voice in Indian accent) asking to verify my ZIP code and stating I had some tax discrepancies and that
- I owed the CRA CAD 2500
- An arrest warrant was issued in my name
- That i could resolve the matter either by paying 2500 CAD to CRA through online link or fight a legal suit
- I argued that I am a new immigrant and did not file tax since hence I do not have an income. I had applied for child benefit. And that there was no mention of CAD 2500 fees on govt website.
- The caller insisted that I was required to pay CAD 2500 or face arrest
- Also, I simultaneously googled and realized the number was listed as IRS fraud
- I argued a little more and said I should have received some notification for the due payment either by mail or email then the caller transferred to his senior
- Senior (male voice with Indian accent) pushed me to pay the money and that my information would be forwarded to the police (Royal Canadian Mounted) if I disconnected call and did not agree to pay
- I immediately (within 5 seconds) received call from (Surrey police dept - the number true and was probably hacked too)
- One office Bailey (female voice Indian with fake Canadian accent) stated there was some dispute with CRA and if I am willing to settle by paying the warrant would not be executed.
- I said I wanted to settle but need some letter/notification from CRA that a payment is due.
- She said that it"s upto the CRA and not her concern.
- I said I want to pay cash and in-person, not online
- She said she would take the CRA on a joint call to settle (??huh)
- I said I want to visit the police station and pay from there
- She said with an active warrant coming to the police station meant that I was willing to surrender (which I thought was absurd)
- She further said that if I was doubting whether she was really calling from the police station then I could "google" the number she was calling from (which police officer does that?)
- Finally, I said that I would visit the police station any way and said "your choice"

I, then, disconnected the phone.

This is a major scam and I nearly fell victim to it (being new to the Canada and obviously a little ignorant of the law/processes here).

I am wondering how they got my details and whether all those who have been called by them are picked-up from a particular segment? i.e. new immigrants/new child benefit applicants or random Tax/CRA applications or just plainand simple SIN database. Could the targets been chosen through the postal services? (as I had submitted my application through post). Just wondering...

Anyhow, these guys need to be reported!!

I received a call from this number. It was an electronic voice threatening me with a "legal lawsuit." It said an arrest warrant would be filed against me unless I called them back. I was confused and concerned, so naturally I called the number to figure out what kind of trouble I was in. The man who answered identified himself as "officer Jeff," but he spoke with a strange foreign accent, which did not sound like it belonged to anyone named "Jeff." He told me I owed 100k to the CRA, which surprised me. I asked why I owed so much, but Jeff could not explain. I asked him where he had gotten that number, and how the CRA had calculated it, but he had no explanation at all. I asked to be transferred to someone with more information, or, failing that, to speak to his supervisor. He told me that he had no supervisor, and that no one else at the CRA could provide more information. At this point I became slightly suspicious. I told Jeff that I was busy, and requested that he call me back in two weeks to resume our conversation. He agreed to, but he did not call me back.

Nine months later I received another call from this number. This time I did not pick up.

Samething for me. Automated message claiming from CRA! Oh yaaaaa!!!

I just called them back and told them I was the chief of police lmao. I keep calling and now he’s blocking my number lmao. What does it take? I willl keep bugging him like he bugs me.
