This guy is a fraud, Has written cheques to people who worked for him and then cancels them as soon as they get deposited. Claims his accountant cancelled cheque. Joel also claims to have received
Interprovincial Red Seal, Paint and Plaster application from Concordia University ( https://ca.linkedin.com/in/joel-kaspick-a52ab76a ), but if you contact Concordia University they do not have a record of anyone with that name to have received any such certificate or to have even attended that school. They also do not and have never offer that course. They offer courses for red seal painters, but no interprovincial paint and plaster red seal, he made it up. If you work for this guy and use him as a reference, he will say he"s never heard of you. Always has an excuse or just ignores you when it comes to getting paid on time or in full or simple pulls a no call, no show. When caught in a lie, he will make fraudulent defamatory comments and will put more effort into ruining your reputation than he will into getting a job finished. He"ll tell you he"ll mail you your cheque and months later just tell you he doesn"t owe you anything. He was taken to court for unpaid wages and keeping tools that belonged to employees and lost even after getting a lawyer and his best friend to pose as a witness. His lawyer was his hockey buddy and his friend claimed to be just a job site acquaintance, yet they were the best man at each others weddings... his first wedding anyways. Makes up complete lies and uses clients names stating false claims in the court room without them knowing. Every person who"s worked for him has quit or he uses as a scapegoat to point the blame on or throw under the bus for his mistakes. You"ll mysteriously get nails or screws in your tires when working for this guy or have them slashed shortly after quitting. Doesn"t matter if you have kids or a mortgage to pay, getting paid on time by this narcissist is a full time job in itself. Someone fell off a roof while working for him and his response was "I sure hope they don"t s***w me with workers compensation", Then fired the guy and told the remaining people to go get they"re own insurance. You have no idea when he"s telling the truth or a lie. He does have the ability to go good work, if he shows up before 10am or noon or at all. Proceed with caution when working for this guy.
