The reverse look-up for the number you see in Caller ID traces back to London, Ontario (are code 519) but the number is not a good one. In fact the calls (I think all from this "Equity Information Services") originate in Costa Rica and they are spoofing the originating phone number.
I have been getting one call every day or two from these idiots (always the same number) for a month or two now. Can"t get rid of them no matter how rude and vulgar I am with them.
The Canadian CRTC "do not call" list (stupidly) excludes survey companies and of course aren"t respected by calls from outside of Canada.
