Criminal organisation running another phishing scam under the guise of a less-than-legitimate "collection agency" call centre boiler room operation. They really need to get the attention they deserve from the federal commission controlling these services. I wonder why the RCMP/Surite haven"t bothered doing anything about it... maybe they"re part of the gangs running these things?

These telemarketers should be ordered to stop calling numbers that are on the Do Not Call List. Don"t they understand the reason for this list???
It"s a pity that the party that pays a commission for this nuisance doesn"t seem to understand that you cannot solicit business by annoying people.
It"s time for the regulatory agency concerned to start doing its job to put a stop to this nonsense. Why should

This web site seems like a good service to help identify spammers. I was worried at first that this could be a pirate site that steals info, but since they don"t require you identify yourself, it seems like a simple way to help each other.

I started getting text messages on my phone from this number, did not answer, got a voicemail snippet of a recorded message, and blocked the number. Thanks for everyone"s participation.

These scammers don"t give a hoot about the Canadian Do Not Call list because they are in some off-shore country even though the number looks like its in Quebec, etc.
The gov cannot touch them because they"re not in Canada.
All you can do is not answer and don"t push the number "to be removed from their list." If you do, you just proved to them that you are live victim & a good phone number!! Meg

The Call Display just said Quebec and a search shows the number is from Montreal. When I answered, a recording said "Congratulations, you"ve been selected to receive a free trip to the Bahamas". I hung up and didn"t wait to hear what the scam was about. I am on the National Do Not Call List and have reported the company to http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/telemarketing.htm so they will be fined.
