Said they were "Windows Support" and there was a problem with my computer which had compromised its security. Claimed they could fix it. When I asked to call back to verify the company, the guy hung up on me. Sounds like a scam.

Got a call from this number saying they were some kind of credit card rewards redemption centre, something like that, and that since I was a preferred user of my card, they were offering me a 0 gas card and 2 free airline tickets.. knowing this sounded too good to be true I asked which of my cards they were calling about. She said they "work with American Express, Visa, Mastercard.. all cards" So I asked which bank they were affiliated with: "Uhh.. Royal Bank.. CIBC.. hundreds of banks in Canada" And I just said well I dont beleive the bank I work with is affiliated with any outside companies so if she wasn"t able to provide any more specific information about my banking, then I wasn"t interested in their offer or providing any information to them.

Also when i tried to call back, it says the number is not in service

Claimed to be Windows support, but not from Microsoft. Asked a series of question about my downloading practices. Said he was calling from Mississauga. Calling about a check up on my computer.

When pushed about the organizations connection to Microsoft and why they were calling me, he hung up.
