I heard the recording, then pressed 1 just to humor this call, with it being the fourth time they"ve tried. A man who had a heavy accent, either from India or Pakistan, who sounded groggy then came on the line and asked for Mr.(Lastname). I asked him which credit card company it was regarding, to which he answered "Visa". I then informed him that I do not have a Visa credit card. He then stuttered and said Master Card. I then asked, "You just said Visa, but now it"s Master Card?". His moronic answer was, "I was lying when I said Visa". I just laughed at his pathetic attempt and told him, "You"re not a very good con artist", to which he responded "Yes, I am". I was at my friend"s house on a separate occasion when this same con called him and he wasted the guy"s time for about a half an hour. When he finally realized he was being trolled, he started yelling and swearing before hanging up.

Don"t be fooled. Internet junkies can have any number with devices anywhere on earth. The issue is regulating the ip address to a physical address on planet earth. Magic jack for example.

Tried calling the tel # back couldn"t . I googled it its from Fairfeild area in Victoria bc but it"s bogus. Ignore it and let it go to machine they don"t leave msg. Scam alert! Totally!

pre recorded msg, stating the call is about my credit card...didn"t listen to the rest of the msg..not the 1st time received...If someone can stop this intrusion, it would be appreciated..thank you

Phoned and no message. So sick of this phone harassment. If it isn"t one group doing it, its another or it stems from across the border from the US. I"d like to drive down there and beat them stupid with an old telephone! Why can"t BC do like Alta?? Where you get a harassing call and you dial three special digits and the police arrive on their friggin doorstep!

This number has called me several times I finally picked up and it was a company looking for me to change my credit card to them. I advised them I was on the do not call list and they hung up. Don"t know if they are scammers or not.

just got a call from them. Pressed the 1 button to speak to them to remove me from their list. Also reported it to the DNCL. THey have been recieving a lot of calls about this place. Please keep reporting the calls.

These people told me they were from the interest department of the Visa and Mastercard company.
Already knowing it was bogus, he asked if he could verify some info so i proceeded...He first wanted my expiration date...then said oh yeah yeah thats right..now if i can verify the digits on your credit card. I argued with him that I wasnt giving him my card number and he then proceeded to say just the last 8 numbers then. I refuse he said he had my card number already that he just needed the numbers.....Finding that hard to believe because he didnt even know my name?

Number is spoofed. Telus has been getting many complaints but beyond their control... Ask the CRTC WTF they are doing about the BULLSHIT...

Wants to lower credit card rates. Said he was in Calgary with the company BillsDebt.net. Probably all a lie.

This number keeps calling our work and I finally pressed 1 to ask them to stop calling the man hung up on me his name was Diago or something like that next time they call I will be asking for a manager.

I have received at least 4 calls from (250) 414-0300 over lthe last 12 months and a recorded message tells me I am getting a "final notice" about my credit card, as if I had an unpaid bill on my record, which is definitly not the case. Further, there is no mention about which company is calling. Did not directly talk to anyone yet.

Many phone calls with no one on the line. Telus won"t help to stop it.

Write the CRTC "Complaint about a telemarketing call" https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng This is a number in Canada, not India, so maybe they can do something about it. The more that lodge a complaint, the better!!

I have used the *60 function to block future calls from this pest. I just wish Telus allowed more than 12 numbers to be blocked.

I called the Victoria PD who told me to report these calls to my own local PD. From that point, there is supposed to be a follow up from my local PD to Victoria who should take the matter into its hand from that point. Tip given to me by the Victoria PD dispatch when I called them directly on sunday morning december 2nd 2012.

Nothing that you do will stop them from calling you. The major players behind this have made millions of dollars, which means that they are too big to fail.
One of the major players specializes in aiding the rich with tax evasion and shell corporations set up in Belize. You can bet that the well to do in this country are not getting lower your credit card interest rate calls and due to that fact our government just considers a few phone calls a minor annoyance.
The FCC has temporarily halted 5 of the minor non profitable boiler rooms. They will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days.
In the meantime the calls will continue since the major money is being made with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won"t fall for their scam. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet. The only way to stop this is to contact the FBI and ask why this crime family is allowed to operate and facilitate the ongoing criminal operations. This is one of the reasons that the RICO act was put in place, so why aren"t they using it. Is this because this isn"t a high profile, news worthy operation or is the FBI too understaffed and busy with Homeland Security issues. Maybe if we were rich they would take this seriously, but then if we were rich we would be using that criminal organizations services and protecting them instead of trying to shut them down.

If you get a recorded message when this number calls and it gives you the option to talk to a live person by pressing a number, do so. When someone comes on the line, SCREAM as loud as you can into your handset and hang up. With any luck you will blow out his eardrum. This doesn"t stop the calls but it helps to lower your blood pressure. With any luck, in time, enough people will be afraid to work for these sham companies for fear of going deaf and they will go out of business.
