2 calls - didn"t answer - but called them back, asked for name and badge number - Officer Eric Young, badge # 417J274 - said he was in Ontario but the phone number is from BC. Asked to speak to his supervisor, he got flustered said they were in a meeting. I asked why his phone number showed BC but he"s in Ontario, he then hung up on me. Total Scam!

Someone from this number called claiming to be Officer James Badge # 417J274. He said he is from the CRA. Asked for my name and postal code. Said that a random audit was done on my taxes and if I chose to legally fight it it would cost ,711. "Do you have a lawyer?" "Do you realize you have an arrest warrant?" "Who filed your taxes?". He read an affidavit and said I was being charged with 7 counts and listed them off. He said there would be a lean put on my property. If I was arrested I would be in jail for 5 years. He said the CRA has strong evidence of tax evasion. And proceeded to "call" the RCMP at 780-412-5424 (which is the actual phone number) and talked to Mr. Marshall asking to have the warrant put on hold. He did this while I listened to his half of the conversation. He got off the phone and said they would not put the warrant on hold and he didn"t know why. He repeatedly stated the phone call was being recorded. Then I asked him where he was located, where his office was and then for whatever reason he couldn"t hear me. After saying hello back and forth a few times he hung up. I like to keep these people on the phone as long as I can so they don"t have the opportunity to call someone else who is going to fall for the scam. I was cut off before I was able to tell him that it is illegal to impersonate an officer and add some demeaning comment about the job that he has and how he and the company he works for are scum of the earth and should be dealt with the same as terrorists. Every time they call me they seem to be stepping up their game a little more. I overheard a woman on July 19, 2018, at an Edmonton Police Station filing a complain that she sent them ,000 because she was scared of being deported. If you are smart enough to know it"s a scam and you have the time, have some fun with them ... I do :)

This was an automated (recorded) message from the "CRA" saying that a lawsuit had been started against me & that I needed to call them back immediately to avoid getting sued. First, why would the CRA call from a British Columbia number? Why wouldn"t they address me personally (I mean, they should know who"s getting sued, right???) And why would the CRA care if I was getting sued? How stupid are these scammers???
