Got a missed call and message from person claiming to be a CRA officer from the tax fraud department and that either me or attorney should phone back otherwise legal situation will unfold. Phoned back from private number and person answered (after hours mind you) that it was the CRA tax crime investigation department. I hung up. Obviously a scam after reading other comments.

Said they were from CRA with a lawsuit under my name and soon an arrest warrant if I don"t respond and call the number given. It was an automated call and asked me to dial 226-455-7559 to resolve. Don"t fall for this obvious scam!

CRA Scam, answered as the first one I got was a BC area code (thought this might"ve been a company calling me or a sales call IDK) and it"s the same automated message I received on my voicemail from the BC area code. Phone number was 1-226-455-4093 from Central Huron, ON.

Got 2 calls, April 7 and April 9, 2018 from this number and 226 790 2847 with similar messages. I googled the number 12264550249 and found its from Clinton, Ontario. The second number has been investigated and found to be a scam. I found this on the web: MTL. 5 Apr 2018. SCAM, there is a CBC segment about this scam, don"t ever give any information to the person on the phone, the Canada Revenue Agency will never ask you for private information over the phone...It"s similar to Ethan"s comment above. Visual voicemail states, I quote "This issue at 10:00 is very time sensitive. The very second you receive this message. I need you all your-the (?) Tony to give us a call. This is office Joseph Morgan. Our direct line number will be 226 455 0249. I repeat it"s 226 455 0249. Do not disregard this message and do return the call. If I do not hear from you all you are Tony either and the legal situation unfolds on you. Have a nice day. Goodbye."
