Just received a call from a male who claimed to be calling on behalf of the Winnipeg Police asking for a 0 donation for Anti-Bullying program. I told him that I would call him back but he told me that I couldn"t. I phoned the Police and they told me this was a scam.

Thanks for comments, I use a call blocker that plays a message telling the caller if they are a telemarketer to stop calling and remove us from their call list, then if am expected call to press 5 to connect, which obviously an auto dialer can"t do so the call then disconnects. This number comes up at least daily for the last month or so and never gets past the screening process, so it appears to be an auto dialer, qualifies as a telemarketer to me.

Just received a call from this number. Caller said it was a recorded call and was asking for money for a bullying campaign with the Police Service. The Winnipeg Police Service doesn"t solicit donations over the phone, and if for some reason they are don"t give them anything because they should know better. Many parasites in this city.

Called May 2nd and said it was the Canadian Police Association for Front Line Support school programs. Wanted or 0 donation. Agreed to donate but would not give credit card information to them but told them to send information by mail. Just googled Canadian Police Association, and the Rcmp, in 2009, warned about a scam in the Swan River area of Mb. Needless to say they won"t be receiving a cheque in the mail.

Got a call from this number yesterday. Male said he was from the Police Association (can"t remember if he said Canadian or Winnipeg) and was looking for a donation for their anti-bullying campaign. I told him we don"t donate over the phone, but wouldn"t be donating at this time. He asked if we would consider it in the future. At the time I thought it was legitimate because the speaker was very polished. Glad I looked at the comments here. Won"t be taking the call in the future.

A Man and follow by a woman phoned Aug 20,2014 and said he was calling on behalf of Canadian Police Association support anti-bullying kids at school and asked for 0, 300, 200 or 25 donation.
